Singin' Barefoot: Frog Songs

Fun frog songs for a sunny, barefoot day...

Does it Hop?
Tune: Do Your Ears Hang Low?

Does it hop, hop, hop
‘Til you think it will not stop?
Does it make a rabbit sound,
On a day that’s very hot?
Does it swim very well?
Then I know that you can tell
That it is a frog!

I’m a Little Froggy
Tune: I’m a Little Teapot

I’m a little froggy,
Slick and green.
I once was a tadpole
As you have seen.
Then I grew some strong legs
While swimming about,
And now I’m a frog.
Hurray, let’s shout!
Ribbit!

Singin' Barefoot: Farm Songs

More songs to sing, barefoot with the kiddos...

Farm Sounds
Sung to: "Wheels on the bus"

The cow in barn goes moo, moo, moo,
Moo, moo, moo. Moo, moo, moo,
(repeat)
All around the farm.
(Other verses)
The pig in the pen goes oink, oink, oink,...........
The hens in the coop go cluck..........
The lambs on the hill go baa........
The ducks on the pond go quack......

I'm a Little Piggy
Sung to: "I'm a little Teapot"

I'm a little piggy
Short and stout
Here are my ears
Here is my snout
When I see the
Farmer in the dell,
I oink, oink, oink
and wiggle my tail.

Singin' Barefoot: Jungle Songs

These are some of the songs that we have been singing during Stroller Strides classes in the Issaquah Highlands.

Teasing Mr. Alligator
Five little monkeys high in a tree,
Teasing Mr. Alligator,
You can't catch me,
Along comes Mr. Alligator quiet as can be...
SNAP! that monkey right out of that tree.
(Continue chant counting down until...0 little monkeys...)
Along comes Mr. Alligator fat as can be!

Down in the Jungle
Down in the jungle with the beat of your feet,
Think of an animal that you'd like to meet.
That you'd like to meet (have child yell out an animal)
A (Lion), a (Lion). She wants to see a (Lion)!
